Someone tagged my newest set with "obligatory boring star tattoos" so i thought I'd expalin why I got them.
I chose nautical stars because they represent a safe journey. I got them when I moved out on my own for the first time. I chose the colors a)because I like them and b) they are the bi-pride colors.
Plus, I like stars.
I realize it's not the most exciting tattoo and that it is pretty common, but it kinda pissed me off to have someone lump me into a "poser" catagory, or imply that I didnt put any thought behind my tattoos.
If you're going to do that, then make a comment about my Jessica Rabbit tattoo. That was an impulsive one (which doesn't mean I love it any less) and the start of a sleeve that doesn't have very much personal meaning.
I just like pin-up art.
The rest of my tattoos (stars included) all have great personal meaning.
