so i hung out with the kids last night and it was so great.
i gave a hair cut even though i wanted my monday to be absent of hair and i bought myself a bass.
now those of you who don't know... i sold my bass a year and a half ago maybe 2 years ago for a new BMX bike.
and now since i have a band and we will be recording soon... i figured i should practice....it was all going to be improv for me anyways but ohwell let's add some structure.
so i picked up a decent accoustic/electric. and i feel fucken shitty because i can't seem to remember a lot of music to play... but it's only been a few hours after i picked it up so i know i'll get warmed up and be back to my tech metal ways...although this new band of mine is a hardcore band....however not your everyday chugga chugga rawr rawr dance pansy shits.
which i'm excited about...
and also i was elected to play the part of Makeup Artist for the new Sick of it All video which is mighty fine.
and um well... i don't want to go to work today.... i was starting to like the day off bit.
i think i'm also gong to change over my display image.... which is a big thing seeing how it's been like this since day one.
so now i'm off to find something to stick in there.
FIN.

NOW back to instrumental bands. My parents always listened to Jazz as I grew up, I think that has a lot to do with the type of music I favor now (I still literally enjoy EVERY genre, from rock to rap and country to instrumental). I found out about Explosions in the Sky first but then later found ALOT of instrumental bands that have become some of my favorites as well. I like bands such as: Mum, Mogwai, Tortoise (great band, I don't think they get as much recognition as Mum and Mogwai but they are amazing, a little bit jazzier.), Thievery Corporation, Lotus (My latest favorite, they are REALLY jazzy and dancy. I love to dance at shows, at Explosions in the Sky I am LITERALLY the only person even MOVING and I am ROCKING OUT! After their shows I actually met up with them and they told me that they saw me and I was awesome and encouraged them to put more into the music, which is the best thing anyone has said about me .), Particle (like Lotus but funkier), Amon Tobin (another one of my favorites they are really different and and every song is really different), Dntel (the guy who makes the music for Postal Service's solo project), Liquid Tension Experiment (instrumental group from the members of Dream Theatre if you like that 70's rock feel [I think its 70's rock]), Crime and Choir (At the Drive In instrumental split off so I have heard), Sigur Ros (there's vocals but they are in a made up language and mean nothing to anybody I feel like you might know about them though they have some popularity), and last but not least Hella (best described as instrumentals from a REALLY good hardcore band, and ironically there is a hardcore band that sounds identical just with vocals called Hot Cross, I would bet money they are related some how).
And that's my catalogue, I feel like there may be more but yes I loves me some instrumental music, along with everything else, but my two favorite bands are instrumental.
