this is something I care a lot about...if you've heard about the inhuman surge in the detention and deportation of immigrants that hasn't stopped even as of the Obama administration, then please take 30 seconds to support some brave men & women who are fasting to get Janet Napolitano, the head of Homeland Security, to do something NOW to stop the tearing apart of families.
All you have to do is call and leave a message on the public comment line and/or sign onto the online petition. The fasters have gone for 12 days without food. The more people call, the sooner the fasters will see their sacrifice is not in vain.

to meet with the fasters: 866-587-3023 (para Espanol: 866-974-8813). When you call, the message will provide a script.
the script is basically this:
1. I'm calling in support of the Fast for Our Families and I want the Department of Homeland Security to stop separating families
2. I want Janet Napolitano to meet with the fasters.
