Starting to get used to working from the home office though it feels like so little gets done sometimes. I'm working on yet another high-profile job for the UN, did I mention that? I'm basically in charge of this job which is pretty massive, involves getting people all over the world to shoot stories on the impact of the global financial crisis.
Now that I bought another year on SG I think I need to cultivate a bit more variety and intellectual stimulation in my interaction here. I finally took another search and there are some interesting (and hot) members around.
But it takes time to engage with what people are posting so interestingly about and define your own persona here, which I've been avoiding. But now that I've plunked down for another year I'm going to try to set aside some regular time to check in here instead of this rushed thing where I always feel like I'm procrastinating.
I've been meaning to set aside some time Sundays to do stuff that's purely artistic or contemplative or writing-oriented but it's been tough. Yesterday I tried but got sucked up in catching up on financial organizing and even put my lady AC o work doing some stuff for my documentary. AC and I have talked about our funny kind of workoholism, lately. Plus we're planning to have a kid sooner rather than later.
Lot of irons in the fire, since my blog here is sealed away from the rest of my life by a necessary firewall, this could be a place to check in with myself even if no one reads my damn blog.

i'm lucky enough to have made some strong friends here, enough so that i've been operating on gift memberships. my last one just expired, but i had a second saved, so i just confirmed that.
getting active in the groups is the best way to make friends here.
sometimes random comments on a blog can be a bit unnerving...
meh, that's my advice at least. i'm not all that great at keeping up with the discussions myself so i'm not one to talk...
I'm glad that you're sticking around
