I'm hiccuping after a night drinking beer and karoake-ing with some friends from the Aikido dojo. Actually we're kind of the subversives there because we've stuck with it but are not completely gung ho like some people who train.

This is me and my friend's girlfriend singing "The Sound of Silence." Some girl jumped up and started singing with us sloppy-like, but we did the harmony real cool and I think the kids there appreciated even though we followed a 50 cent song.
My woman is away at her reunion in Cambridge this weekend. So on one hand it's a chance to do some home office reorganizing and on the other hand at nights I have to make an extra effort to latch onto some friends to go out with. I lucked out tonight, but tomorrow...?
I had some breakthroughs this week, a $15K grant for my documentary and a freelance gig producing a video for the UN to be shown at the G8 summit in Italy. That does not constitute rolling in dough because the grant is not all going into my pocket and the UN job doesn't pay all that much, but it feels like a sea change I was feeling these past couple of weeks.

This is at the UN. I would like to have taken more good pics but it feels like there's a lot of security issues around most of the interesting stuff.
