so my brain's going to explode sometime before next Thursday. That's when my final paper is due for my Sociology class. But I also have 4 weeks of Introduction to Immigration Law coursework to catch up on.
It was our first wedding anniversary last weekend and we took a trip to Montauk:
There were these funny seaweed seed packets all over the beach...I thought the way they were laid out among the rocks made them look like the kind of creatures you see scuttling around the corners of engravings from an Edward Gorey book so I snapped a bunch of shots of them.

These trippy formations along the shore have some funny name I forgot, derived from a Scandinavian language I think...they're thought to be the residence of spirits.

Then there was an old military defense complex I naturally had to shoot video of...

And of course there was a trip to a vineyard with a wine sampling and cheese and stuff.

We had the privilege of being the only people in this little art cinema, watching a film about a great banjo player who went to the places in Africa where the origins of the banjo were, and collaborated with some amazing musicians there. I loved this red lit curtain as we waited in the big theatre, it was just like a dream or like the setting in Twin Peaks (same thing) ready for a dancing little person to emerge.

I totally thought that the first picture was of some sort of weird sand beetle.
Old theatres like that are awesome... its been so long since I went to one.
Good luck with your paper... I can only imagine what you are going through right now!
