Hi Everyone!
Sorry for the lag in posting. I have been dealing with a bunch of new roadblocks. First and foremost is my Dad's failing health. Unfortunately he has been back and forth to the hospital several times over the past three weeks for a myriad of problems. the biggest of which may be widespread cancer. After undergoing a PETscan last week, we discovered in addition to the two nodes we already knew about in his lungs, they have discovered two more, one in his liver, and another in the lumbar region of his back. He is scheduled to undergo a biopsy on Monday July 2nd. My wife and I are preparing for the worst. I already had a long discussion with my mom about this as well. With what I am suspect is occuring, his already existing heart problems, and general poor health take surgery and most forms of chemotherapy off the table. I am also concerned about my mom. If something happens to my Dad, I am worried that she may follow quickly behind. I hate thinking about this!
Thursday was a banner day...the water pressure relief valve failed on our water system causing a pipe to burst putting half of our condo underwater. Luckily, we have good insurance and everything will be covered. Friday would've been my younger brother's 40th birthday. For those of you who don't know, he committed suicide shortly before his 26th birthday. It's been a little over 14 years and I miss you Ed...
My lovely wife has her breast implants put in on Wednesday. Should be a walk in the park We have to be at the hospital at 6:30 am, and we should be on our way home in the afternoon. As Kathy says, "Just in time for your birthday!" LOL! Speaking of which, my wife took me out for my birthday breakfast this morning since she might not be up to it next weekend...we shared a delicious western omelet with extra cheddar cheese! Delish! My father-in-law sent me a funny card and included a Borders gift card! New books are coming my way! Yahoo! It doesn't take much to make me happy anymore. BTW...a good site to check out is goodreads.com.
Anyway...I shall continue to slog forward...hope everyone is doing well. I will post updates on everything as time allows. Hoping to get the internet back up at home later this week. Cleanup is going to be a serious bitch. Those damn fans blowing 24/7 are going to do me in...but at least evrything is drying out. Seeya soon! Ciao!
