Hello All!
Sorry for the lapse of posts...so much going on right now, not to mention that I'm in the midst of working 60 straight days. Thank god that's coming to an end shortly. Whew!
The latest on my wife Kathy is all good. She goes back to the Oncologist on Tuesday for the final word on cancer treatment. We continue to hope that no further treatment is necessary. The doctor was consulting with some genetic specialist just to be certain. He seemed to think last time already that Kathy was done. She is also going for the final fill on her new breasts. This is where the doctor overfills to prepare for the surgery to put in the new models...LOL! Kathy is not overdoing it, and will end up with a fabulous pair. I am so proud of her!
My parents health has also been on the upswing as of late. For the moment, the massive amount of doctors visits that I have had to worry about have gone done significantly.
As for myself, I was able to realize a personal dream of mine last Wednesday night. I was onstage at the Improv in Washington, DC participating in DC's Funniest Radio Personality Contest. I did not win, but I had a very good set, and got some good laughs from the audience. I also got to hang with comedian Will Durst (He headlined the show), who is a very cool dude, and he offered plenty of advice. Several of the other guys who participated also lent some support. I was the only one involved who had never done standup. One of the guys told me that comedy is like a drug, once you try it, you have to keep going back. He's right! I intend to do it again real soon.
Well, back to work...the public affairs crap is almost done, so I must prepare for the music. If anyone is interested in listening, my station (WTGB, 94-7 The Globe) streams online. You can go to our website, www.947theglobe.com to listen. Seeya!
