Hi Everyone!
I apologize for not posting sooner, but it has been a busy few days, plus taking care of my wife has been my first priority. The good news is that kathy is doing well after her surgery. We got home from the hospital Saturday afternoon, and she has been resting comfortably since. her pain issues have been minimal, and we are hoping that she will be able to go into the doctor's office by friday to have her two drains removed. I have to admit it was a little scary to actually see the aftermath of what had been done when we changed her bandages on Sunday morning. I won't go into deatil, but needless to say it was a little shocking.
Through all of this, my wife has done extremely well and handled everything like a champ. I can safely say, there is no one person on this planet who I could be any prouder of than my courageous wife. We have not gotten back the pathology report yet...the doctor's office told us it would likely be Thursday when they get it. More than likely, Kathy may have to undergo some form of radiation treatment, or chemotherapy, but we are still hoping that it might not be necessary.
Anyway, that is the latest in our saga. I am actually back at work today, and Kathy has started to do a little bit of her work at home. I had a routine checkup with my GP and she has prescribed me Zoloft to help take the edge off and restore some of my once calm demeanor. Thanks again for the kind words and support! More updates as I am able and when we get more info. Take care!
