I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am this #*@ week is over! First, the drive home from NYC to DC on Tuesday totally sucked. Then my wife had her surgery on Wednesday...which went well by the way.
But before I could even get her to the hospital for that, we received a call at 2:30 am that my Dad had been taken to the hospital. It turned out that he had pneumonia, and luckily he is also doing better. I got him home yesterday afternoon. The kicker last night was that we had to put down my beautiful border cillie Lady. It was time. She was just shy of her 19th birthday. I hated that. I am actually glad to be working this morning so I can just do something besides thinking too much.
In spite of all of this, I am very happy that my wife Kathy is doing so well after her breast cancer surgery. We will know on Thursday when we go back to her doctor to see if they got all of it. If anyone has any suggestions for good luck, I will be happy to try all of them. Seeya!
BTW...the cancer was discovered on a routine mammogram ladies...it tells you how important that they are to get done regularly as you get older. Take care all...Happy New Year!

Sorry about your loss. Just lost my 5 year old Labrador on 28 November - cancer - one day before her 5th birthday. She was so young still ...
Happy New Year!
