The tarot card for today is:
Wheel of Fortune. "Because the Wheel of Fortune relates to the rise and fall of power, it is controlled by the Emperor, who, like the rulers of many ancient civilizations, is regarded by his subjects as being both a man and a god. He is the being in whom all powers converge and from whom all powers radiate. By the force of his personality he places his imprint upon life throughout the empire. He holds the power of life or death, good or evil, to use as he sees fit. But he knows that in time he too will decline and die, to be replaced by another, who will decline and die in his turn. The Wheel represents the endless cycle of life - birth, growth, maturity, decline, death, rebirth - without beginning or end. Divinatory Meanings: Destiny. Fortune. Outcome. Felicity. Godsend. Special gain or unusual loss. Result. Approaching the end of a problem. The influences affecting the outcome of a problem. Inevitability. Unexpected events may occur. The course of things from beginning to end." etc. etc. etc.
Well, as long as it has nothing to do with Vanna White, I'm fine with it...
Byron came home last night and said, "Do you want to go out for dinner?" I was stunned, because he never wants to go out on a weeknight. So we went to the St. Johns Pub and had a good meal. I still can't figure out why he wanted to go out. He said it was because he didn't want to mess up the kitchen, but I'm not sure I believe that.
We're going up to see Mom this weekend, since Sunday is my birthday. Monday night (Byron has to work) we're going to see American Splendor. Can't wait - it's just my kinda stuff. I loved Crumb and Ghost World too.
Lots to do and no time to do it - have a great Labor Day Weekend, children!

Things are bad for me lately. I guess it's not yet my turn on the Karmic wheel so I'm paying the price big time. Ugh... I feel like the underside of trash can lid.
If you feel like it, dance naked under the moonlight and sing songs to the spirits for me. It can't hurt
