OK, as promised, I'm putting Oscar on the shelf for a while. I decided to start pulling one tarot card a day and report on it. It's kind of a good way to develop a focus for the day, what you might want to keep in mind, look out for, ponder, consider, meditate on, etc. etc. etc. It'll also help re-familiarize me with the cards, which is something I've been wanting to do for some time. This week I'll be using the Morgan-Greer deck. And today's card is:
The Chariot. "A triumphant victory over life's opposing forces. With difficulties resolved, balance is restored."
Well, this couldn't be more welcome news, what with my algebra final tonight and after that, school being over for a whole month!! Huzzah!
We had a great weekend. Saturday we headed over to the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center and saw the new Max train that's due to start running hopefully by next spring (ahead of schedule, if you can believe it...). They were having a fair type of thing, so we saw some great bellydancing and some other cool stuff. Then we found where they were holding the KBOO book sale, and no, we did NOT stick to our plan - carted away 3 boxes full of books and records... Then we had an excellent late lunch at Hoda's Middle Eastern Cuisine, then headed over to Hawthorne and dinked around. I bought a Priestess of the Axe pendant at the Goddess Gallery and some back issues of SageWoman and Comics Journal at Book City Paradise. Then on Sunday we stayed home and put together the other 2 bookcases, and moved one of the old ones up here to my computer room. It's kinda nice to have a day where you just stay home and get stuff done around the house.
But now I gotta get studying for that damn test!! Wish me luck, won't you??
PS: I finally did it - the last pic in My Pics is my boobs. You asked for it, now you're probably sorry, eh??
PPS: I'm afraid to put this one on the boards, since Courtney is a member of the site and all, but - have you seen this?
Is Courtney Love Marlon Brando's granddaughter?????
