OK, much to do and little time to do it, so best get cracking! Grocery shopping, then spending most of the afternoon in the college library working on my topic exploration paper, which is due in a week (and I haven't even started on it yet - that's for Writing 123, the research paper class), then the actual writing class. I only missed 1 on the algebra quiz, so I feel pretty good about that. Must also start thinking about a topic for my persuasive speech; I think I'll go with why gay marriage should be legalized in the US (which I'd already pretty much decided on, and then this whole Supreme Court thing happened, so talk about timely! Hope no one else decides to do their speech on it).
And I'm also all set up for volunteer duties at TribalQuest NW! Yay!!! I'm going to be staffing the merchandise table at the Fez show, checking in workshop participants on Sat. and Sun., and taking tickets at the Hollywood Theater show and the buffet dinner afterwards! Yee-ha!! Should be a blast. I really wish I could afford to start lessons again, but with school and all, just can't find the time. Especially come the fall, when I should be going to school full time.
The new profile pic is called "Pye and Marvin Look to the Future!!" ::cue inspiring music:: Marvin was REALLY mad at us when we got home Sunday. Byron had accidentally closed the inner door that leads to the cat door before we left, so Marvin was forced to stay in the house the whole time! And since he doesn't have a litterbox but always goes outside to do his business - well, let's just say a little surprise was waiting for me on the carpet here in the computer room. Remind us never to do that ever, ever again!!!!
OK, better get going, so here is your Wilde quote for to-day:
Simple pleasures are the last refuge of the complex.
P.S. Go and tell these people how much they rock indeed:
KittyRollins
WhippedCream
dogslife (he's leaving us on the 19th! )

Mature students are always so on the ball. Me, I take an afternoon to move a single sock across the room. (I stole that from Martin Amis.)
how are you?
