That huge exhalation you hear is the collective sigh of relief from the citizens of our fair city, as the temp drops to the mid-70's for the coming week...
Speech and algebra class today. I definitely have my informative speech topic narrowed down to Frida Kahlo, and I have my algebra homework done, so today should be fairly low-stress. We're driving up to Oak Harbor to spend the 4th with Mom, so that should be fun. Byron put our Holland pictures on a DVD, so we'll be able to show them to Mom. Remember the days when you took a roll of film to the drugstore? You know, I think I still have a couple rolls from several years ago that never got developed...
We're going to go see American Splendor at Cinema21 on my birthday. Has anyone seen it? I personally can't wait. The whole underground comic scene is pretty fascinating. I loved Crumb; it was like a train wreck - horrifying, but you can't look away... Hey, I heard that R. Crumb has put together a compilation of music by women jazz and blues artists of the 20's and 30's (and maybe later, not sure), and did the cover art? Sweet!
OK, gotta go. Here's your Wilde quote for today:
I can resist everything except temptation.
