This was kinda scary... Byron sometimes gets bad leg cramps in the middle of the night. It seems to happen mostly in hot weather, and after a few seconds of excruciating pain they usually ease up and go away. Well, it happened again for the first time in months at 4 this morning. Except this time, the cramps didn't stop. He couldn't straighten his leg out because it still hurt like hell. So I got him a washcloth soaked with cold water and he rubbed it on his leg, and soon he was able to straighten his leg out again. It was pretty warm in our room upstairs, so we went downstairs where it's much cooler and he slept on the couch for another couple of hours before he had to get up and get ready for work. It still seemed to hurt him a bit to put much weight on the leg. Well, I think this has just about convinced him that he needs to go see the doctor. He's worried that if he goes in there with a long list of things he's concerned about, that they'll think he's a hypochondriac... I said, "Sweetie, hypochondriacs are ALWAYS going to the doctor, like every week, whether they have something wrong with them or not. You are not a hypochondriac!!" I don't know about him sometimes...
Marvin is back to his old self, thank the gods. I think he probably did get dehydrated; when the weather's nice he tends to spend so much time outside that he forgets to come in and drink some water. The big doofus...
Have to go buy a graphing calculator at the campus bookstore. $110. Then mail my latest Half.com sale, get some groceries, and maybe even do some homework! Wow, what a concept...
Your Wilde quote for the day (this one is so great, it's my email signature quote):
The only way to atone for being occasionally over-dressed is by being always absolutely over-educated.
