It's 1 p.m. and I'm still in my jammies. We didn't get to sleep til 1 this morning, so we begged off going to the Summer Solstice thang (that's OK, Solstice isn't until next weekend anyway). The Brothers of the Baladi show last night was SO great!! They played stuff from their new CD, some old stuff, and had 4 bellydancers. One was Cammi from Gypsy Caravan, who dances by herself cabaret-style under the name Darshan. Oh man - she is such a SuicideGirl!! Fabulous... Lots of people got up and danced themselves during most of their songs, including me. We may end up doing my bellydance video today, if Byron can find batteries for his camera, and if I can get my shit together long enough to do something decent. I'll let you know!
Oh - need to call my dad too! Happy Father's Day!!
And your Wilde quote for today:
Good artists give everything to their art and consequently are perfectly uninteresting themselves.

I had no idea that Dame Edna was Bruce... But that's so cool. I enjoyed the movie a lot. I'm very glad I went to see it. To make up for feeling like little kids at Finding Nemo, David and I listened to Rush and chuckled at Geddy Lee. We also cursed him for having far more talent than we do. A good evening.
And today...I relax.
(I've never used the phrase "the Bomb" until I started hanging out here. You people are corrupting me already.... I like it!!)
