I'm pleased to report that the rhubarb cake was a smashing success!! Byron raved about it, and it DIDN'T upset my stomach...! So, here is the recipe:
Mix together:
1 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. oil
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Add:
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. diced rhubarb
Mix together separately for topping:
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Grease loaf pan. Line long sides and bottom with strip of waxed paper for easy removal of bread (make sure to trim away any extra paper so it doesn't scorch - from one who knows!). Pour batter into pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar topping. Bake at 325, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
NOTE: Bread is VERY moist. Let cool completely before cutting. You can also bake it in a cake pan. Most excellent topped with whipped cream!
Another nice chat with FreakPirate last night. We decided that he should run for President in 2004! So what if he's not an American citizen - we won't let a pesky little fact like that get in our way!
Seriously though - I can't get too excited about Dean, but I think he probably has the most realistic expectation of getting nominated. If I had my way, Carol Moseley Braun would get the nomination. Oh well...

You know, I NEVER see Chaos as fucking anything up. The problems in my life all issue from myself.
I have asked Trickster to enter my life, but I have not gotten an answer. He is purposely not wanting to. Perhaps I'm not ready? Or perhaps he doesn't come into me, but rather I into him....?
I think it's the second, but it's a doozy of a step. I am not near that stage in development.
'NEW' friend? Have I only NOW just gotten your attention?
I really must flirt...I never flirt.
em...no..no Kali yet.
