I know that the weekend is only half over with, but i had enough happen to me on friday and saturday that i dont need to wait for sunday to be over with...
-I was at a used bookstore friday afternoon when i got off work. I was just browsing around looking for something new to read. I just got done with another of the Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter books by Laurel K. Hamilton. Fucking awesome book series. But anyways... I just looking through some stuff they had and i came across a book that caught my eye. It was called The Art of Darkness: The Cinema of Dario Argento. I looked through the book and it was extremely innovative. I was always a big fan of the Argento movies like "Trauma". So i figured i would ask the clerk to hold it to the side while i ran to the bank to cash my paycheck. When i returned to the book store, there was a different clerk with no knowledge of any book that was on hold for me. WTF??? I looked all over the place for the book but i couldnt find it there. I dont know what happened to it but the book wasnt there. I gotta find another copy. It appears the book is outta print cause they dont have any at amazon. If anyone can find a copy of it for me, i would pay them back if they were to send it to me. It's an awesome read.
-Saturday afternoon i made a trip down to dallas to pick up some artwork that i bought from Vivisect. Check it out...
Now usually when a person decides that something is awesome, they will simply use the adjective "Awesome" but there comes times where standard adjectives are not enough to describe something. It is at these times that people will come up with new adjectives all together. This time...I chose the phrase "Bitchin' Cakes". Thats really the only way to describe this because the word awesome is not enough. Thank you so much Vivisect. This is so fucking fantastic
Lemme know when your gonna put more stuff up.
-On my way back from dallas, i stopped off at a show in Denton. I was told that this show was going to be "Bitchin' Cakes". It was not. There was all of 5 people at the show and the bands for the most part sucked. The one thing that didnt suck was a few cover songs originally done by "The Breeders" They actually weren't that bad. The lead vocalist actually sounded a lot like Kim Deal.
Well, thats bout it for now. I hope everyone is doing well...
Cheers,
~matt~
