HAPPY! HAPPY! HAPPY!
Life's been so good to me this last few months! Tons of music in Mexico, Chile and USA. Been able to meet and make friends with some big shots and Im gettin' a lot of respect around.
Oh, and found a new and HUGE appartment in the coolest neighbourhood in Mexico City, hehe. Even tho my entire building must HATE me because of my new amps that the lovely guys at Ashdown gave me for free HAHA
Been touring with a extremlely entertaining cuban band, also with the hottest new rapper around and also recording as the main bassplayer for the best known hip hop label around Mexico.
Im also working as a bassplayer for Sony Music Mexico, wich is AWESOME and opened the doors to much bigger things, like getting endorsed by the amazing SPECTOR basses. Actually, I think I'm the first chilean EVER to become part of the Spector family. Not sure, gonna ask.
I'll be visiting L.A. almost every month, since I gotta shoot some videos (in spanish) for Spector so we can start promoting the brand for Latinamerica, so you know, everybody in the LA area drop me a line I'll be also working on some tiny things with Evan from Biohazard once he gets back from Colombia.
In October I'll be touring the East Coast for 3 weeks. So fellas around, u know what to do
IN OTHER NEWS! Guess what? A couple days ago I got an email from Samantha (Guitar World Magazine) and she told me that Dave Navarro himself wanted to publish a photo I took of him playing with Jane's Addiction at Lollapalooza Chile in April. I showed Dave the picture backstage at the venue, and we actually got the chance to talk for a few minutes, and he ask me If I could send him the pic via twitter, and I did (obviously), but NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS thought that he wanted my pic to go straight to Guitar World Magazine! Or even getting (well) paid for it!
So bassically that's it for me nowadays, life's been good, and I'm SO grateful... Of course I've been missing my mom and bro and family and friends a lot, but, well, that's the lifestyle I chose, and I have NO regrets. Learning to deal with it.
Love u all.
