I had the pleasure of witnessing the remarkable NASA MAVEN launch last week. It was truly an incredible experience. Watching Atlas V propel MAVEN through our atmosphere, piercing the clouds out of my eyesight heading towards Mars gave me goosebumps. Seeing the smoke trail billow out and the thunderous noise fade the higher it climbed made my heart sink into my stomach. Witnessing all this with my toes buried in the sand, cool ocean water passing around my ankles and the sunshine on my back. I love every inch of this planet we live on. Everyday I feel so fortune to be able to spend the rest of my life exploring as much of it as I can while forever day dreaming about parts of the universe just out of reach.
