Yeah, that sucks. Sean feels pretty strongly about the whole Israel deal, he's probably the one who 86'd IE. I try to avoid talking about Israel/Palestine just because it's so useless to argue about. Both sides are convinced they're right, demonize each other, it's like two irreconcilable realities. You'd think people would naturally side with the guys who aren't strapping bombs on children to kill other children, but no. The hate for the US is so deep in the West amongst some people (especially Berkeley/activist types), they're willing to sympathize with the Arabs, because Israel's America's ally. "Israel MUST be the bad guys, America's on their side" is how they think.
I can't understand why else they'd support such a corrupt, repressive government like the PA that programs children from birth to hate and kill Jews in the name of god and produces nothing but misery and war for millions of people. It goes against everything "liberals" stand for. Hate of America/capitalism/Western values extended to Israel is the only way I can explain it.
