being that i havent updated in a while...
so lets see: i almost died on saturday. i was on my way to a remote that i really did NOT want to go and do (careful what you wish for, kiddies!). i was in the car, tooling along on the highway doing about 85. it was raining. i was in the high speed lane. next thing i know, the ass end of my car is shaking something terrible and making a horrid noise. so, being the great driver i am, i get the car under control and pull over to the (left) side of the road. i open up my door to see my left rear tire fucking SMOLDERING, and totally blown out. like, violently blown out. i was on the rim at this point. (again, my superior new englander driving skills saved my ass! ) so i call my boss, tell him that i cant make the remote cause i have to deal with the tire thing. i get out, it is now pouring, to change the tire.. i get out the donut, the jack, and start losening the lugs. as i am ready to put the jack under the car, i start looking for the crank for the jack... which I DONT HAVE!!!! yeah, not in the car. which means that it wasnt there when i bought the fucker. i am now fucking wet and angry. so i start calling all kinds of places.. the dealership (no help), my friends (no help), and finally i have to call AAA. being that my AAA is from massachusetts, and i didnt have my card with me, it was a fucking process to get them to find my info.. anyways, 45 minutes after i call, the guy shows up. i was on the side of the road for about an hour and a half total...
skip to yesterday. i get one of our sales dudes to call up one of his tire accounts in hoping to get myself a deal. i go out there, and it is going to run me fucking $400 for 2 tires. AHHHHHHHHHHHH not good times. bad times....
so that happened..........
had my buddy dave attell in the studio today. he rocks, and was funny as hell (as he always is). hes in town doing stand up and i went to see him last night. hes working on some funny new shit!!
got our ratings in yesterday. for the first time in the station's history we had the #1 morning show (beating out syndicated shows like bob and tom and some other shit). i am happy, but not as excited as everyone else is. i guess i always thought that my show was that good (not in a conceited way, just i always thougth we were more entertaining and funny), and i just kind of feel like, 'ok thats nice.' the best part is that i can put #1 on my resume now (which i have done, and ive sent out 3 tape/resume packages this week)!
alright, ive written a lot. thanks for reading it, if youve gotten this far. i love you dearly..
(yes, i have not mentioned the sox. i cant. not yet)
