i have a certain friend here who needs to start posting journal entries... how else am i supposed to bug you with comments, Mot? psssssssssssh. silly you.
about UPR: this was my line up 8/1999-9/2000, so it may have changed. --
monday night(my 1st 9months): all things considered, as it happens, and two half hour shows on english literature and modern writers, that i don't remember the titles to.
friday night(the remainder of my time there): all things considered, as it happens, and latino USA.
sunday morning: weekend morning edition (2hrs), st. paul sunday, to the best of our knowledge (2hrs), the repeat of prairie home companion, and my last hour was this american life.
somebody was asking me about this at prom and i'd completely forgotten my line up. of course it was about 3 years ago, but still... that was embarrasing! that was the funnest job i ever had for minimum wage, and was quite a lot more fun that a lot of things i've done for double that. i was a radio control room operator, so if you comprehend what Roz did on Frasier, you knew about half my duties. mainly, i was there when the regular staff was not, and "baby sat" a state-wide transmitter signal. ::grin:: m yfavorite was when something would go wrong, and i'd be frantically trying to diagnose the trouble, while fielding phonecalls from people all over utah and parts of idaho and wyoming telling me, "ummm.... your signal's breaking up...would you mind fixing it please?"
everything would have been fixed a lot faster if they weren't trying to tell me what i already knew. sheesh.
damn, i LOVED THAT JOB!
www.upr.org if you wanna go visit my old boss, Tom!
