First things first: HAPPY NEW YEAR, FOLKS. Hope ya'll had a safe yet memorable time. My ass stayed indoors. Way too rainy. So much for taking photos of all the fireworks going off in SF and Oakland at once... It may have begun dreary, but I've a good feeling about 2011. Granted, I had a strong positive vibe for 2010 at its beginning as well, yet this feels different. Perhaps going through hardships in the beginning and middle of last year has made me more resolute to accomplish the goals I've in mind.

So yeah. Resolutions. I don't have a set list, seeing as when you typically compose one, it tends to go to the wayside. I wouldn't say I've made a single resolution, but a mantra: Live like a fucking VIKING.



Nooo, I'm not going to start invading homes and villages, raping and pillaging and decapitating my enemies and spreading their entrails across Svartalfaheimr to the appease the fury of the mountain trolls... just live like one in a figurative sense. Carpe diem. Take every opportunity and squeeze every drop of experience out of it. Live a little more impulsively as well. I've never been a guy who's been guided by his hormones, so let's see how that goes.

What in the figgity fuck. Christmas... huh what?! Never have I ever expected so many friends sending me such amazing things! I really am appreciative and touched that you would have me in mind (not to mention spend your hard-earned money on me) during the frantic Holiday season.



Look at that shit! It's a nerd extravaganza! Star Trek glasses... (and Star Wars coasters?) Imperial Officer cap... Blu Rays... D3 armor case... TARDIS and Batman-shaped soap (HA!)... a mini-Transformer... a Daft Punk digital album... chocolates... and the most potent brownies and cookies I've ever consumed. I think I may have Type II Diabetes now.



...oh yeah. These friggin' sweet Wars snowglobe ornaments as well.

I'm still getting a few cards as well. They're all lovely yet these two made me laugh a little too loud when I opened them... First, Voodou knows me all too well. What amazing nerdy craftmanship!



Then Rexx had to bust out some old photos and alter them. She also had to remind me of our Pork Roll Mountain (with message you shall NOT be privy to)! Man, we were NOT expecting that...



Not to be a sap, but this was the best Christmas I've had in a good while. It's not about the gifts so much as it was the sentiment and love that inspired them. Thanks a lot Serial, SillyK, Harlough, Auriga, Rydell, Voodou, Rexx, allieshamallie and TigerAngel.
