- Sir Winston Churchill
Most of this week was a test for me, emotionally and psychologically. It all started the middle of last week when I saw some photography from folks younger than me and it blew my shit outta the water. I began to feel inadequate (but it usually doesn't take much) and seeds of doubt began to sink in. "Who the fuck would want me with talent out there like that?", blahblahblah. Then to distract myself from that conflict of self-worth, I was put out to pasture by a girl I kinda like. HOORAY! I was batting 1.000, to use a baseball analogy.
So yeah. Wasn't the happiest seven or so days.
Even Zeus knew something was up and was trying to be less of a loudmouth asshole dog.
I think I'm faring better now. HOWEVER, I'd like to make a few requests...
- If we're in the same business and you know your skills are better than mine, please refrain from showing your shit off to me.
- Don't tell me how amazing the sex is between you and whoever. I'll only think murderous thoughts.
- Do NOT tell me "The One" is out there and I'll find her some day. a) It sounds like Keanu Reeves is searching for me; b) I don't believe in "The One"; c) I'd rather have a FWB.
Here are some photos from me fucking around with my wide angle lens while doing some home improvement at one of the family properties...
OH YEAH. I saw an excellent movie the other night that I highly recommend you check out sometime...
Ondskan - the English title being Evil - is a Swedish movie (with subtitles naturally) about a boy who enrolls in a prestigious boarding school and has to deal with the upper classmen bullies there. At first you think it's Erik (also known as 'Rat' by the bullies) who's the evil boy as he's withdrawn and has a weird look in his eyes sometimes, but no. It's the regular looking guys who rule the school while the headmaster does nothing.
Anyways, this movie was GOOD. Kinda sorta graphic, but not in the sexual sense. Mainly involving the fights... they can get bloody. It's just cool to see how Erik progresses from a tortured soul to a master of his domain. Well-written and great acting (for relative first-timers).
By the way, it's NOT Fight Club in a boarding school. What a crock of shit.
And believe me... he knows. Fucked up thumb or not, he'll be in line the second it comes out.
