I've just spent the last 3 hours or so cleaning out the attic which squirrels have decided to make their home.. They've torn their way through all the insulation, most of the books and boxes, and there is squirrel shit everywhere! They have been there for nearly a year now, but I couldn't bring myself to use poison or anything else that might harm them.. Why? Because I like animals more than I like most people. This becomes a problem when certain animals have taken over my entire attic. I wouldn't care except for the fact that they are destroying everything up there. So I've located the holes that they are entering the house from, now I just have to chase them out long enough to patch said holes... There are at least 3 squirrels up there, so if I don't get all of them out it will be pretty much pointless to patch the holes.

My cat is upstairs right now exploring and hopefully that will scare them out. Malachai is as big as a small dog, so I'm thinking that's pretty intimidating to squirrels. Before I adopted Malachai, there were mice in the house. Needless to say, I haven't seen one in almost 8 months now.

Well it looks like I've got my work cut out for me tonight... I should spend time at home more often, there is a lot that needs to be done here...
