Being a computer geek can be a problem sometimes.. Particularly when I get sucked into a project like I did today.. For some strange reason, I woke up today and thought I'd like to run Free BSD on one of my machines, so I downloaded it, burnt the ISO and got to work installing it on one of my spare machines. This was around 10AM, it is now 5AM Monday morning and I haven't left the house the entire time! I'm hungry and there is absolutely nothing open at 5AM around here except the gas station.. I need to eat something and drink as much coffee as I can because in about 3 hours I have to go to work. No sleep for me again.
So how was your weekend? Mine was pretty good, got to make loud noise on the guitar, got to eat really good japanese food, and saw 3 good movies. One of them was SAW, which was actually pretty damn impressive since it was shot in something like 18 days on a very low budget. I'm a little dissapointed in the lack of gore durring the scene where Cary Elwes cuts off his own foot with a dull hacksaw though... I really wanted to see that in full bloody detail!
Still haven't made it to fast cheap and out of control yet, this would be the 6th week in a row I've missed it.. Somebody needs to kidnap me and force me to stay downtown on sunday nights! I have a particular person in mind for that job, but unfortunately she is gone for the next 2 weeks.. I suppose I should start interviewing replacements. Actually.. that should be number one on my little to-do list, since I've had the urge to call my ex girlfriend a lot lately.. BAD MIKE! She's your ex for a reason!! As much as I've started to enjoy being single again, I do miss waking up next to someone occaisionaly.
A little bad news.. My little vacation has been put off for even longer due to my current lack of employees and overwhelming amount of work. This really sucks because I could really use a month off. Anybody need a job? Well, I guess I better get something to eat soon.
