Back from FL, in the depths of winter here in the high country.
3 fox and a bobcat sighting in the last couple of days.
A commercial interest wants to buy our cooperative. They will have to convince at least 2/3 of 500+ member shareholders. I wish them luck.
On Florida, I did a lot of cave diving (scuba diving in caves). Spending 90 minutes and swimming 2km underwater really jerks with your perspective. Turn off your light and hold your breath while neutral in the column and you have almost complete sensory deprivation. I saw several mastadon bones embedded in the limestone along with tons of other fossils... sea biscuits, shells... I glued an SG patch on my suit pocket and promtply scraped it off in something called 'The Peanut Tunnel' in the Peacock cave system. I'll do a better job next time. I wonder who found it and what they think of it.
I was thinking today that I have not known whether or not I own a housekey for about 10 years now. I could not lock my doors if I wanted to. I think this is a good thing...
