You know when you're driving and someone pulls out in front of you causing you to swerve or brake hard? When I'm on my own and this happens, I find myself swearing in the most vulgar ways. I mean some really nasty things. Out loud. Sometimes I even shout, if I'm playing music loudly, which I usually am when I'm driving on my own. In fact the volume of my cursing is inversely determined by the ability of other's to hear it. The same thing applies if I'm walking down the street and someone is not looking where they're going, only then I would just say it under my breath.
Am I a misanthropist? A sociopath? Where do I place on the Tourette's spectrum? Maybe other people just think what I say. Maybe they don't even think it. Some people say the things I say loud enough for everyone to hear. So next time you see a crazy, shouting obscenities to nobody in particular, try to bear in mind that they're probably just like you and me, only their boundaries have just slipped a bit, that's all.

As far as the person who's yelling obscenities to nobody in particular, sadly it's usually not that their boundaries have slipped (for their own happiness and safety I wish that it were that), but rather that they are having a schizophrenic episode and believe that there are people who are harrassing them.
I like your writing - it's very introspective and interesting.
