I've seen some really unique and nostalgic ones. I'll do my best not to overlap and reiterate, thus ruining any originality I could display here. All apologies in advance. (Spoiler Alert: That's going to happen)
Growing up took a LONG time for me. It was just the span of maybe 7-11 years like for most of us, but in the mid 80's-mid 90's, the WORLD had changed, dramatically. It would be near impossible to nail it down to just ONE celebrity crush for me. I changed a lot during that time. My world was flipped upside down by almost yearly tragedies, so I'm sure even silly things like visual attraction was affected by the fallout.
The first one I can remember was Soleil Moon Frye. The next several, I'm not sure of the time period (we didn't have cable for most of my childhood), but they shouldn't be excluded. Téa Leoni from "Flying Blind", Melissa Joan Hart from "Clarissa Explains it All", Christina Applegate, Tisha Campbell from "House Party", and Andrea Barber who plays Kimmy Gibler on Full House.
I think the interesting thing for me was my exposure to Punk/Alt music in my mid-teens. Mostly female (Girlcore & Riot Grrrl) fronted bands like Sonic Youth, Sleater-Kinney, Hole, The Distillers, Bikini Kill, Angelica, Lunachicks, Bratmobile, The Runaways, and L7 (to name just a few) had a really powerful influence on me, and as a result I think not only changed my views on sexuality, but probably is a huge reason I'm a member on this site.
I would be ignorant to not recognize Courtney Love individually from that pack. I know that she's no longer the fairest of all, and has pretty much been exiled by the music community as a whole since she's hoarded and lived off of the Cobain Estate, but I'm talking about Courtney Love ages 20-24 ish, late 80's to Early 90's. I think I first saw her in 1991, but it was obscure punk rock magazines from 1985-1990. She was an ABSOLUTE DOLL. To this day, probably the pedestal to which I compare "edgy" love interests to, good and bad. I'm not huge on blondes but there were certain... stuff (?) she had that, if I saw it in other women these days, would trigger an instant attraction via nostalgia.
It's too bad that things didn't work out like most of us had hoped, and it's a damn shame that their daughter grew up so privileged. Because of her amazing genetics alone, Frances Bean Cobian should've set the music industry on fire all over again and had a new generation of young men swooned. Just didn't happen. Still... young adult Courtney Love, damn.
