Two weekends ago i went biking in crested butte. a 5 hour drive has never been so worth while.
This last weekend i did not go to ren fest, instead i summited three 14ers: Belford(14197), Oxford(14153), Misouri(14067). I had 5.2 hrs of moving time, around 1 hr resting. I hiked around 14.7 miles using Belfords west slopes, and missouri's east ridge and some of Roach's variation 13.9 on the south slope after stopping to filter water at 12551 feet elevation. I had around 8940 feet of elevation gain (trail head is 9640, Bel/Oxf saddle is 13506) in accordance to the usgs online topo map.
conversation about me: "have you seen my friend. he's probably shirtless and hiking like a crazed animal is chasing him". "oh, i saw him. he's hiking like a banshee and wearing green sunglasses. I think he's summiting missouri"
Monday sucked, people suck... good thing friends ar around. I skipped work today.
