Stitches came out today and i came back home to wait for a package and clean the house up a little. My kilt did not come, and it pisses me off. not a waste of money on rush though cause if i fill out the US customs forms it might get here before my dad leaves.
Dad and i went up to boulder so i could show him around where i used to work at UMS. he seams impressed in what i do and how i do it. even got o show him some code. Sid threw a graduation party for me, three of my bosses, some of the security team and some 1st floor buddies were there. turns out at 21 i am very well respected and my skills are highly recommended by people with age and experience seniority. I was quite impressed on some of these comments, and my dad was kinda taken back. not often an experiences programmer says great things about your programs and how you write them in front of three bosses. very well respected indeed.
Dad and i eventually drove back to golden to get the rest of the crew. He and my grannie and grandpa are staying in the hampton inn off 6th and colfax (70th and 470 go by there). sean and my mother were here and we all carpooled up to meet my aunt laurie for some food. graduation ceremony was interesting, but tedious and long. I sat with the applied math students, which were led by none other than pascal. here is how the recognition goes, every graduate lines up and gives their card ot the announcer, who reads the name. however my appm announcer did not say both majors. i felt robed. my peers supported me and i went up again with my comp sci senior project buddies, where they managed to call both my majors! ^^. i have two diploma holders for two diplomas! I convinced erik and john to go up for their second majors too. I think us three were the only ones to do a second round. however they had a second card, but i only had one. so i went up with an inked paper and felt much better for being recognized for my work. for those of you who don't know i've worked while in school the entire three years. came in with 42 credits and ended up with 160 within three years even.
came back to my house where nick (already quite inebriated) and andy (blazed for days) and Sean, dad na I went ot he garage for a cuban, some cloves and cig and a pipe. I brought the tequila bottle! ^* great celebration thus far. Anyone wanna help, celebration shall continue for weeks!. also if you know any women who i might hit it off with, i now have time for them!
