I'm really having a hard time adjusting now that I've moved.
Like... a really hard time.

I also have a hard time adjusting when I have to move from one place to another, either for living or for work. To be honest, I'm not very comfortable with change of any sort, and like all of us, have had to push through the fears and anxieties that come with it. I find the best way to deal with it is to have my 'comfort' items with me throughout the move. Things that allow me to take needed deep breath, smile, and hopefully a quiet laugh to myself as I think through the memory that this item possesses for me. A picture of my dog I keep at my desk, putting together a playlist on my iPod of memorable music, a cup of coffee/tea prepared just the way I like it, a small football my nephew and I play together with, etc.. These things will calm your senses, give you clarity, and keep you grounded as you give your mind the time it needs to adjust. It is a slow process, yet surrounding yourself with familiar: photos, music, candle scents, etc. will help you feel more at ease.
