I exist but to finish papers...*sigh*
I'm going to be writing pretty much nonstop for the next two weeks, but at least I now have an unstoppable torrent of spite to fuel my efforts. I am fully and officially not going to BU for my PhD, which mean's I'm not going anywhere for it next year. I was informed by the department that I received not a dime in funding. I still expect to be accepted to the PhD program, in fact I expect to turn in two fucking awesome papers and make them regret their stupid delays that prevented me from being considered for funding.
Unfortunately, this all means that, regardless of how kickass my final papers are, and I plan on making them the most polished pieces of scholarship I've ever produced, I need to find a job. Quickly. If I am extremely lucky and quality work just comes flowing out of me and I have free time, I need to spend all of it trying to find employment. So, if anyone happens to know of good restaurants that need managing or positions for a history teacher in a private school in MA, NH, or RI...hell, anywhere in New England...let me know.
That's why I've been scarce of late, and shall continue to be for the immediate future. I damn well better see a bunch of you at the kaiju show on May 1.
