Everyone, no matter how prepared, has moments wherein they feel a complete ass.
I had one of those today.
My clock battery is dying and it is running slow, which I was unaware of until I arrived late for the class I'm grading. That, in and of itself, is a small faux pas and certainly surmountable. The difficulty arose from the fact that it was the midterm for the class and I had all the bluebooks in my bag. The moment that I was razed to the level of the dust was when I realized I had taken the wrong bag that had my books for another class, and not a single bluebook.
What fun.
