Despite the temperature being high and the crowd blocking out most of the girls from the waist down the SGBurlesque show in Boston last night was pretty awesome. (If I had the time and money I'd certainly be attending the North Hampton show tonight and getting a much closer view).
The best part of the evening was definetely hanging out with other SGBostonians, including local our local SGs the effervescent Bailey and charming Sid. I finally got to meet Gumbercules in person instead of seeing him in the dj booth at Manray. Defekt and his wife, Blondie and her beau, Pip, PopeTom, Minimalism, m0use, renaconfundida, Murkling, Semitic, Minimalism and a few others whose sns I forget at the moment had a chance to chill, chat, and cheer before, during, and after the show.
The afterparty was fantastic in that it was low-key, filled with cool people, and there was no shortage of refreshment provided. I had the chance to introduce a number of people to the wonderful world of absinthe. (And to continue Minimalism's corruption with it ) Hell, I even had a chance to give one of the performers a backrub. All in all a pretty lovely evening.
The perfect cap to it all was when I woke up after almost 4 hours of sleep, dragged myself to class, and found it cancelled. I really enjoyed those extra few hours of sleep...

Sounds like the afterparty was a blast...wish I'd been able to attend. I really did enjoy the whole SG burlesque night, and thought it was important to bring up the very few less than perfect moments, so that the next time the SG show comes to Boston, they'll have worked out all of the kinks (so to speak...). It was great to meet you on Monday, and I hope to see you tonight at ManRay. If you want to hear any song in particular, just call me up on that request phone thingy, and tell me who you are.
