Yes, I am still mad.
But now I'm also mad because somebody stole my backpack, in which resided my notebooks, my very pretty journal, my birthday pen, my wallet, my cell phone, and my epic continuing comic: The Saga of NEE-Bocks. I hope I get it back.
The Bob Dylan concert was awesome. I think I finally got it when he was playing Desolation Row. I think I finally got what my brother's been talking about. Still not near as big a fan as he is, though.
We are getting our house back this week. Meghan, the girl who was living with us, is moving in with some friends, so Thade and I get the whole place to ourselves once again. How exiting. I get to walk around naked and exercise in the living room again. She'll be living just down the street from us with a really nice boy named Ken and two of his friends.
In other news, Thade's parents may be bringing down the litter of kittens next weekend. We decided it would be easier to find homes for them down here than in Hammond, so I might have four kittens in a no-pets apartment for a little while. Two of my friends (married, eek!) already said they might take one, Thade's sister may take another, and if Thade and I take the black one I love (I've already named her) that would only leave two more who need homes.
I'm trying to get my work done, but much time this past week has been devoted to reading about, thinking about, and talking about America. I'm trying not to obsess about it. When I do, it can be crushing.
I'm only going to school anymore because I'm so close to graduating. Is that silly? No, I think I'll be glad to get a degree. Sometimes it's good to finish things.
What is everyone else doing? Anyone going expat? Anyone have any immediate, exiting plans? The times, they are a changin'.

Thats crappy about the backpack, but good about the graduation. Fuck ya. I can not wait to go to school. There is nothing more appealing on this earth right now than having an education. What are you taking?
