Happy New Years, kids.
I hope you all had a fun night.
I spent it working at Lucky bar with the fabulous Miss pennylane80... Fun, but tiring. I dressed and did makeup on the woman who stripped (Holly Goodhead - ha)... did quick changes backstage, then worked the door/coatcheck. The incomparable Ms. Lane was also my New Years' kiss... though I managed to snag a few later on in the night.
(Also met MonsterBaby andgetdeadkid. What schweeties!)
I am amazed at the money that drunk people will tip. It's extraordinary - and it worked in my favour this time. What can I say? This student can always use a few more dollars.
Slept all day, then went to the Tapa Bar tonite with some gals I went to school with in Red Deer... Our prof came, too. It was fun - but strange. I'm the only one *not* working in theatre at the moment... Then again, they're not looking to take their Master's and design. Two of the gals will be working in Edmonton next week (and one will be gracing my apartment and the communal livingroom futon for a few weeks). There will be lots of martini goodness in my future.
I also played with Daddy's digital camera tonight. The fruits of my labour? Behold -
Contemplative (actually I just wasn't looking directly at the camera, to be honest):
There's the new profile, and last but not least, my infamous tongue (at least in my mind):
Now I'm off to smoke a doobie and watch Velvet Goldmine. I like my men glittery, thank you ever so.

That sounds like a fun way to spend a New Year's Eve. Kind of like work but since you don't do it on a regular basis not really.
You're leaving on Sat right? Maybe we could do coffee on Friday after I get off work.
