Well, Footloose has opened and few tears and little blood were shed during the production work.
The designer had worked on Hedwig in Edmonton and he was wonderful to work with - although if I never see a pair of pointed toe stilettos or a ruched angled bodice with all the flounces ever again, I shall die a happy woman.
The best was last week, when I was done all my work and was able to play with the gluegun, making earrings and corsages all day. God bless the glue gun.
In other news - I am now a free woman! The long distance relationship has prooven too much for either myself or the adorable little metal drummer. So now we're drinking buddies - and all is for the best.
I went to a bar last nite with some of the Footloose gang (of course, I was dressed vintage in a bar that only plays shite music) - and was reminded that now I can behave sluttishly without guilt - but damn, bars suck. Or at least the Red Deer ones. Can't wait to get back to Prism and Evolution and dance all nite to cheesy 80s music in Victoria. I'm back on December 11th, and the video store has already asked me to pick up some shifts. Money is good.
I've also bought a book on knitting and plan to take it up over Xmas. I shall soon be inudated with toques, scarves and ill-fitting sweaters. I can't wait.
The nipples are healing well, and were surprisingly not too sore even right after the piercing. I'm in lurve with my piercer too - if anyone ever needs one, go to see Taylor at Tribeosi and see why I'm so enamoured.
So I'm hoping to have another set done asap - very 50s pinup, in all my vintage glory. The new piercings shall make an appearance as well.
Well, I must dash, but lurve to everyone and hello to my new friends on my list!
Kiss Kiss,
Sheena
