Well hello loves!
Happy Sundies!!
I hope you are all having an awesome weekend. Sadly, mine has been up and down.
Friday evening when I was at work I got a phone call from my sister. I could barely make out what she was saying through the tears but I was able to make out that our youngest sister was in an ambulance on her way to the hospital. After a while, I found out that my sister was going up for a rebound in her basketball game and on the way down another player hit the top of her head with her elbow.
My sister got up and started staggering around the court. Her coach yelled to the ref that something was wrong. The ref said that she was fine. As soon as the words were out of his mouth my sister collapsed at half court and began seizing.
When my sister was 4 she had her first seizure. She was later diagnosed with epilepsy. Through medication and age she grew out of it and has not had a seizure in years. Well not until Friday.
After my sister was released from the hospital I was able to call her. She sounded dazed and afraid. I asked her what happened and she told me that after she was hit her vision went blurry then black. She doesn't remember hitting the ground. All she remembers is my mom holding her head and my dad talking to her. She said she felt trapped in her own body. After the seizure ended she was able to see that the entire gymnasium had fallen silent. She said it was like a movie. People had their hands covering their mouths and most of the crowd was in a state of shock. My sister could do nothing but cry.
My sister is the strongest person I know. She is one of the most important people in my life and I would be lost without her. To hear the fear and complete shock in her voice broke my heart. My sister has to see a Neurologist to undergo some testing to see if this seizure will "re-awaken" her epilepsy. Based of what the ER doctor said it doesn't look good for her. He thinks that her epilepsy was never fully gone and that now it will return with a vengeance. I suppose only time will tell.
In order to get my mind off things and to celebrate the lovely @aerie and her 23rd Birthday we all went out! It was a really amazing night and I needed it bad!! I am so lucky to have so many good friends and loved ones.
Well my loves, I want to thank you all for all the love you have left on Tied Up. After this hellish weekend it was nice to come home and see so much love and friendship awaiting me. So thank you for everything. I love you all.
Well loves,
That is it for me! I hope you all have a great week!
XOXO
