I have to admit, I'm not much of a writer. Even as a kid, when all my girlfriends were writing "Dear Diary" I was looking for a more creative outlet to chart my memories. Thankfully, I fell into the world of tattoos. Not only are they permanent, they are a great conversation piece. For example, on my left shoulder I have a portrait of my mother. Though she lives, the tattoo has, on more than one occasion, opened the flood gates for family conversations. Questions that start out, "Why did you get your mom?" quickly turned into the "Remember the time when you and your mom..?". As far as I can tell, my girlfriends diaries have ever initiated a full conversation. Now, I'm not here to burn writers or diary keepers. If writing helps you relax at the end of a long hard day; by all means write on. However, please keep in mind that I am not a writer. As I begin to blog for Suicide Girls I ask that you bare with me on this writing journey. I promise for every blog that I write I will have a new tattoo to correspond with it. After all, tattoos are the best way to start a conversation.

Seems to me like writing isn't a weak point at all for you- on the contrary, that's one of the better written blog entries I've seen on here!

Thanks! I've never blogged before! Any pointers?
