I'm wide awake in the middle of the night again.
At some point in my sleep I became lucid enough to start thinking about the war. It really does bother me that much, most times I can't believe that it doesn't bother everybody that much.
I was thinking back to some of the "documenties" that had come out several years back, the ones about Saddam...

I was. I'm now facing a choice between being downsized or taking a different position that I don't want.

This might be my last post as I plan on leaving this up for a long while.

The world is fucked, sorry...

I know most of the people here, like myself so many times, avoid reading any really long comments, or mentally commiting to anythingthing that will take longer than two mintues. So before you click the link you should know that this movie is...

I'm just kicking around waiting for the shaw installer to show up.

Guess I've got something to watch now. I'll let you know how it goes.
actonjacton:
It is completely fucked as there doesnt seem any way out. It's nuts as i've always felt the Kennedy assasination and 9/11 were obvious and generally believe the worst in all 'political' matters but couldn't figure a motive. The movie really presented it all logically.
The only possible reversal I could see is that some of the older fuckers die off and their kids who inherit the mantle decide to not be so insane. But that's not likely.
I'm just glad I got in 40 semi decent years. I'd like to hope that the next couple of decades will be somewhat tolerable but I'm gonna try to mentally brace myself for the shitstorm. Mostly I feel bad for my teenage neices and nephews who might essentially be slaves thier whole lives.
Not to mention various the various population elimination theories that don't seem so far-fetched at this point.
I still can't understand the 'why' though.
I can't imagine a reversal of course so all I can think to do is enjoy each day the best I can and hope that the shit only is half as nightmarish as it could be.

I have to say, I'm so very dissapointed that Call of Duty 3 for Wii does not have a Vs. mode or a Multiplayer....The technology is there, what gives exactly?? Rayman Raving Rabbits is the unexpectected sleeper hit for me, too much fun. I'll get around to trying Zelda soon enough. So sad World of Warcraft you'll just have to live without me for some...

Yeah, I agree with you on the no multiplayer thing. It is something that Nintendo has to look at. The technology is there. whatever

Have a great time watching your son tomorrow! biggrin

Who ever say snowmobiling is a lazy man's sport obviously has never done it.
We played in the powder all day today, I had to stop several times to cool down and catch my breath.
We put 135km on the sleds today.
I fell off at least 10 times.
I had a great day.
Then I got home
and read the
nasty letter
my ex-wife...

Thanks to my Snowboarding expidition I now have a sac of fluid on my knee about the size of a chicken egg, my wrist hurts and two hours later my ass is still frozen! My son had a blast though; he was a little frustrated because he had to ride the tow-rope backwards, but he was getting the hang of it. I was surprised at...

My wife and new baby are sleeping 2 ft away from me, they are so beautiful!

My feet hurt.

Don't know for sure if I'm gonna make it out on Saturday. I'd like to, but things seem to be coming up last minute all the time for me now!

BTW, I was writing about the Kyoto on 109th and Jasper, although they are probably quite the same as far as food goes.

Congrats on the little one!

Well after I had almost given up I got a new job today. Yeah I know, there is tonnes (metric) of work here and I should have no problem finding a job, but since I have a certain wage I'm looking for and a specific field that I work in so that narrow's things down a bit. Keep in mind I have to work through...

YAY! Little one! biggrin

Have a great day! biggrin
feerlessfreddy:
working close to home is the best. i work with alot of guys that have to "boom out" so they rarely see their family. at the same time though you kinda go were the work is. i left denver, colorado nine years ago because here is where its at. there are three ironworkers from denver on my job that are transferring in. i like the feeling of being the only one who can calm down the baby.

So Christmas was somewhat anti-climatic this year after having a new baby only a week before. It also doesn't help that being completely oblivious to the special occasion he decided to pull an all-nighter on Christmas eve. We almost cancelled our trip to the releltives, but then I had an awful wonderful idea... pawn off the 7year old on the Aunts and go back to...

it has to be 45 mph for the cranes to shut down. we have tower cranes so i believe it is higher. conventional cranes here shut down ar 30 to 35. i also jump tower cranes. we were doing one with questionable gusts. it came down to lets go for it. it remember going up the climber. as we were going up i noticed the crane tech, myself and the other ironworker were looking over the edge. we were all finding suitible spots to jump if the tower went down. very exciting when your with fellow ironworkers. but dont let the wife know. wink
