how it all seems fair that the truth should somehow still shine like a scroll passed thru thousands of hands before reaching mine and i'm holding her as she cries and trying to reach inside to grab the sorrow that is holding on

she dances thru the black-lite hallways dressed forever in those black-lite curtains eye-liner traces scream beauty to the sky in a moment when everything makes sense it makes sense to discard it as nothing and i understand that sign and i can go away if that's the best thing to calm the tragedy feelings but know that i know and i'm always here and i've seen thru the eyes of the over-medicated and drugged and dragged thru the funeral homes to kiss on the coffins and speak to flowers that drape over nothing with you by my side and i watched as you cried when the pictures were ripped from your walls---

so smile once for me in a picture i can keep with a heart around the edges and i'll watch you sleep and keep the sickness away while you dream....
