I have aquired a stalker! Okay more like an emotional fragile girl who won't stop calling me.
Like a month ago I went out with a group of friends. One of the said friends revealed that she wanted to be "more". I rebuffed her advances.
The next day she called me to tell me she had "hooked up" with another guy from the group. And subsequently after every date/hook up she's had since. She has also called me several times a day almost everyday until I switched my cellphone to a text plan 12 days ago. Since she found out, she has texted me almost 300 times. Asking me out and refusing to stop until "I agreed to go on a date with her."
I don't know why she keeps doing this?
I went to lunch with her Sunday as friends and explained that: The kind of relationship I am looking for is not conducive to the livestyle she leads.
1) She's a college student who's looking for 1 night stands with shallow guys and I'm a 30 year old who's looking for a life partner.
2) She knows basically nothing about me except that I'm a nice guy. She didn't know I'm divorced, had a son, am waiting on a second child or that I am dying. I told her about the first 2, and some other minor details.
3) I'm looking to move far away by July.
She called me Monday night when she knew I had been out drinking and talked to me for like 3 hours. Alcohol is like truth serum for me. I tried my best to not say anything to provoke her. But I let it slip that I felt she was selling herself short and could do better than the guys she's been dating. The guy she hookup with the first night went back to his base and told the whole platoon that they could get in her pants. She says that she just wants to be friends now but I sense that that is not true. Almost like she's trying to see if I'll get jealous of these other guys. Which I am becasue she stops talking to them!
Then she sent a text message at 1am last night on my phone asking if I was awake. I called her this morning and she tells me she's found "Mr. Wonderful". I was like good then she'll stop calling me.
I somehow have a feeling that she's going to call me again tonight. I have reached the point where I no longer know what I can say to get her to leave me be. It's like she keeps calling me to get validation that she's not a bad person. Does anyone have any ideas?
