I'll do a full update post-Halloween. Anyways, I was watching South Park today, while recovering from night number 1 and was wondering, what are the social impacts of such a show. Not whether it's good or bad, but rather, how has it shaped the lives of people that watch it? Now I know that is a stretch, but hear me out. I was watching the episode where the girls make a list of the most attractive boys in class. Abe Lincoln shows up and tells Kyle it's not about looks, it's about substance of your character. In the end the list is never revealed because Kyle doesn't want to see it. Now had I seen this in H.S. (it aired my freshman year of college) I think I would have kinda had a different outlook on the whole thing. I'm kinda glad these guys are from here. Anyways food for thought
