When it rains, one needs to remember "It can't rain all the time".
I spent two weeks back home in New York and it rained for five and a half days of it. The rain was not soft, it was not soothing it was angry, but I loved it. Nothing has ever dampened my love for New York my home, my heart. The division of who I am is clearest here. Two places call to me from deep deep within. The places on earth where nature knows us least and New York where nature is only mans.
New York to me is such a sensory overload if you are not willing to just receive her gifts. When you are you can be caressed by a thousand eyes within minutes yet only subconscious will remember you. The closeness of everyone is the potential of so many great possibilities.
The hardest part of the week was my wife being gone on her cruise for the seven days. The longest we have been apart since we started dating eight years ago. Most appropriate word to describe how I felt was hungry.
