I've also decided to quit my day job of 4 years at the Portland Center for the Preforming Arts and pursue my illustration career full time.
It's with a heavy heart but I feel it's the right thing to do. I've been receiving fewer and fewer shifts the past 9 months or so, and I feel that I can't advance my goals while working there. I love the work, staff, and people.
My parents are aging and my sister has scitzophrenia so the pressure is on me to make an income so I can support them when the time should come. They are in good health now, but I really don't want to think about what a shit storm it would be if something were to happen.
