"How to be original. Pick a genre and fuck it up." -Newman
M.C. Escher study.
Step 1 analyze.. Start with the original and think.
a.What the hec is going in here? and
b. How am I going to make a mess out of this.
So I noticed that it's hollow, looks like a statue and has over laping bits, and shaded circles are lame.
I wanted to put something in the middle, make the surface non uniform, and make even more over laping bits.
Ditch the shaded circles.
Step 2. The plan.
I used poser 7 and did some anatomical renders of heads and skulls until I found some that fit good enough.
Then I did a digital sketch and printed it out.
Then I traced the sketch with pencils and used a pen to squish the pencil lines into my sketchbook, and started inking.
Many hours later...
