Quackers returns, this time with new improved high-speed internet!
I now live in Basingstoke, a world away from my previous student life.
This week I have been very busy. I write the software that runs the Bank of England. With the recent news you can imagine that very suddenly I was in demand to sort out their data. Playing with billions of documents worth billions of pounds is enough to make anyone's head hurt. No I won't bore you with any more details.
Yesterday I turned a battered old Dell Latitude laptop into a digital picture frame. It looks rather tasty and shows all my happy photos. Plus pictures of kittens and bunnies, which keeps Nnubeh very happy
I also lost Roger, my black moor fish. He died very young but I loved him very much. Also it was time to say goodbye to Plorge, my lovely hamster. She was 2 years old and had a stroke. No wonder after the hundreds of miles she covered on her wheel. Both lived very happy lives. I would have cuddled the fish if I could have.
In addition to all this, because of DiscoSleaze I no longer shop at Lush. I refuse to even set off the customer door counters.
This week I am in London. I can't say what I'm doing or where. However, I would love to meet up with anyone for a beer any day this week. Preferably at Ben Crouch's Tavern. Just if anyone is reading this and is around and would love an evening of drinks (most likely at my expense) and can handle my sarcasm.
I believe that is all. Enjoy your week, and if all else fails just hold your head high, smile and be happy.
