i just rented hands on a hardbody. for those who don't know, it's a documentary about this contest that takes place every year in texas where a nissan dealership gives a new hardbody pickup truck to whomever stands by the truck and keeps his hand on it the longest. it generally takes over three days to pare the contestants down to one psycho who wins.

call me sappy, but my favorite part of the documentary was when the winner, having stayed up for seventy-some hours, opened the door of his new truck and announced that he was giving it to his wife. with his arm around her, he indicated the interior of the cab, saying, "see, it has a bench seat just like you wanted".
